May Creative Color Challenge: Pink
At Creative Color Challenge, artist Louse Gale assigns a different color for each month of the year. May's theme was pink, admittedly a color I don't work in very often. It took me some to find inspiration. I opened a recent Coldwater Creek catalog and there it was, glorious pink on almost every page. And before I knew it, a series of pink collages was born.
To create the backgrounds for my collages, I first drew with charocoal and painted with watercolors and caran d'ache which happens to make some gorgeous pink and rosy tones. I continued to paint and draw on my collages until I was happy with them.
You can see my pink series here.
What fun this was! Thank you, Louise for hosting this enjoyable way to push ourselves beyond our comfort zone.
